Charity working in the Lake District this weekend
There's no Beach Buddies activity on the Island this weekend.
Ten members of the charity are travelling to the Lake District coastline to organise new beach cleaning groups in Ravenglass and Braystones.
The charity is meeting with local residents with the aim of kick-starting a new initiative to tackle marine litter in the area. It's the first in a series of planned visits by Beach Buddies during 2019.
Buddies founder Bill Dale explains more:
The visit is hot on the heels of a BBC documentary on Beach Buddies featured on the Inside Out programme last week and also screened on BBC national news.
The Buddies will be at a beach on the south of the Island next weekend.
