There have been no nominations for a successor to Geoff Cannell on the Board of Education.
The deadline for submissions was midday today, but no names were received.
The position will now be re-advertised, and board members will select somebody to take Mr Cannell’s seat.
Mr Cannell had served the constituency of West Douglas for five years when he died suddenly in September.
