New laws to govern tipping in restaurants in the United Kingdom aren't needed in the Isle of Man, according to the Manx Hospitality Partnership.
The UK government has announced plans to prevent businesses keeping tips and using them to top up workers' wages.
Hotels and restaurants there say it could cost the industry £130 million a year and warn it could lead to job cuts.
But Chairman of the Manx Hospitality Partnership Theo Fleurbaay says the Isle of Man has its own set of high standards when it comes to gratuities (play audio file):
