No change to rating system yet
The Manx Labour Party says it’s disappointed to hear the Island’s domestic rating system won’t change before next year’s general election.
Party chairman David Cretney MLC says the Treasury Minister Eddie Teare informed the organisation there simply won’t be enough time.
Last year, Tynwald approved revaluing every property on the Island by February – amid warnings from ministers the timetable would be tough to meet.
