Caine says banning devices has been a 'good news story'
No complaints have been received in relation to a new policy which bans mobile phone usage in Island schools.
The education, sport and culture minister says she believes the decision to implement change, from January this year, is a ‘good news story’.
Headteachers and trade unions were consulted on the changes at the end of 2024; the DESC said it aims to address lesson disruption, bullying and inappropriate usage.
