Manx politicians attend UK party conferences
Manx politicians will join more than 20,000 representatives at the two main UK party conferences over the next fortnight.
Senior officials, including the Chief Minister, are attending the Labour Party Conference in Liverpool, which concludes on Wednesday (26 September).
The same delegation will then attend the Conservative Party Conference in Birmingham, starting next Sunday (30 September - 3 October).
Howard Quayle says it is important to be able to 'pick up the phone' and speak to an ally in either party - but insists the Isle of Man will remain 'politically neutral'.
On the agenda at both conferences will be the looming prospect of a 'no deal' Brexit - for which Mr Quayle says provisions are being made.
