Assessments of the Isle of Man's roads are carried out at least once a year, with some given attention more frequently, according to the infrastructure minister.
Tim Crookall says potholes fall under the department's 'minor capital works' which are addressed quarterly.
Earlier this month one MHK took to planting flowers in potholes to highlight issues with the roads in her constituency.
Those were filled soon after but Mr Crookall says it wasn't a case of special treatment:
