Onchan MHK queries why data isn't available
An Onchan MHK has questioned why data is not available to show how many government employees are working remotely off Island.
Julie Edge asked for the data from the Cabinet Office minister in Tynwald this week.
But David Ashford told her, despite the Office for Human Resources sitting within his department, he didn't have the figures because the information isn’t collated:
He said arrangements are determined at an operational level between managers and staff members and may be on a regular, temporary or ad-hoc basis.
Mr Ashford did confirm four members of staff in his department were working externally including employees in Public Health, the Crown and External Relations Division and policy development.
