Social Security Minister Eddie Teare says he has no immediate plans to raise National Insurance contributions in line with the United Kingdom.
He says a recent increase was introduced before the UK Government announced this week it would raise its rates.
Although all options remain under review, there are no plans for further rises.
The new rates of NI contributions in the Isle of Man will come into effect in April next year.
Mr Teare says that increase is being brought in specifically to raise cash for the Island’s health service:
Mountain Road to stay closed overnight
BMA finds less than a quarter of doctors recommend working at Manx Care
Thirteen people entered or tried to enter the Island without immigration permission since January 2025
