Coxswain says full training will be given
A spokesperson from Port St Mary lifeboat says a maritime background isn't required to get involved in the organisation.
Jenni Kneale recently became one of just four female Coxswains in the entire Royal National Lifeboat Institute.
Jenni - the daughter of Michael 'Mick' Kneale, who was involved with the Port St Mary lifeboat for 47 years before his retirement last April - has recently been highlighting the village's need for more lifeboat volunteers.
She says the organisation is always looking for new recruits, from all backgrounds.
If you're over 17 years of age and think you could help, you're asked to get in touch with Port St Mary lifeboat.
