Option phased out from Friday
You will no longer be able to purchase reduced-fair return tickets on the Island's buses, from the end of this week (Fri 31).
The introduction of contactless payments on board, and the growing popularity of the GO card system, means fewer people are using the option of a return fare.
Currently, a Bus Vannin return between Douglas and Port Erin works out 50p cheaper than buying two singles.
From Friday, that option will no longer be available.
Cash is not being eliminated as a method of payment, and single tickets will still be issued.
