Daphne Caine backs student petition
Garff MHK Daphne Caine will make a further attempt to persuade Tynwald to set-up a committee to investigate whether the Island can accept a small number of Syrian refugees.
It comes after a student petition gained support for the Island to help people, some of whom are living in appalling conditions in camps.
Mrs Caine says she is well aware of current investigations into poverty and social housing on the Island.
However, she says we shouldn't be afraid to look at the pros and cons of housing a small number of refugees:
