
Douglas Council has been told it can’t build new car parking spaces in Noble’s Park.
The plan to put 25 car parking spaces near to the Tot Lot has been turned down again after the corporation appealed an earlier decision by the planning committee.
An independent planning inspector granted permission for new paths and a new entrance with a metal archway.
But he told the council putting a new car park in would go against the wishes of Henry Bloom Noble – who originally donated the land for recreation.
