No viable date on tide forecast
There'll be no organised walk out to the Tower of Refuge this year.
Traditionally, Douglas Town Centre Management, with the help of the Isle of Man Coastguard, guides a group of sometimes hundreds of people across Douglas bay to Connister Rock during low tide.
It typically takes place during the summer months but the event has been called off as the tide isn't expected to go out far enough this year.
Kevin Scott, the Rescue Teams Manager for Isle of Man Coastguard, says people considering to walk out themselves should think carefully:
First in series of 'Isle be Ready' sessions to take place next month
More online services for drivers
New support centre 'an oasis' for cancer patients
Orrisdale Road to close for a month for resurfacing works
