CEO discusses pressure on health body six months into the financial year
The CEO of Manx Care assures there are no plans to cut any health services before the end of the financial year.
In 2024/25 the health body came in £15.6 million over budget and is currently forecasting another overspend.
A £10 million contingency has also been set aside for what are described as 'unavoidable cost pressures'.
Despite that, Teresa Cope says the health body is committed to delivering an £11 million cost improvement programme:

Warmer than average May for Island
Increased DfE support 'to tackle rising costs and global pressures'
Police appeal after two motorcycles involved in collision
Childcare Credit payments to increase
