If the tide was higher, damage would have been worse
The Chief Executive of the Steam Packet Company says there is no safety issue with Douglas harbour.
The vessel collided with the King Edward pier as it tried to dock in higher than forecast winds on Sunday evening.
Speaking on Mandate this morning (Tues) Mark Woodward said the harbour has a well-dredged depth for the Ben, even in low tides and the damage could have been worse if the tide had been higher.
