Johnston tells MHKs there are a number of difficulties
No progress has been made on getting more providers to offer credit cards on the Island, according to the enterprise minister.
It's thought there's only one company that will issue cards to new Manx customers at the moment.
Tim Johnston was quizzed in the House of Keys about whether he was working with the Post Office or Tesco to encourage them to offer the service.
He says there are a number of difficulties for potential providers:
