Douglas man admitted ten charges
A Douglas man who pleaded guilty to 10 counts of possessing indecent photographs of children has been denied a psychiatric examination.
Twenty-six-year-old Matthew James Dadds requested a full report on his mental state be compiled, however Deemster Alastair Montgomerie turned down the request saying there wasn't enough evidence to warrant such a move.
Dadds's sentencing has been delayed while the Probation Service conducts a social enquiry report instead.
Defence advocate Pamela Pringle said her client had "little help" from the Prison Service.
Since he was jailed, he'd contacted addiction charity Motiv8 and The Samaritans for help.
Deemster Montgomerie asked the prosecution to arrange to see the images to gauge the level of indecency.
There was no application for bail - Dadds was further remanded until he's sentenced on 1 November.
