Not the right time to spend seven-figure sum on new scoreboard, says minister
Now isn't the time to spend a seven-figure sum on a new scoreboard for the TT.
That's the message from Enterprise Minister Lawrie Hooper, who's confirmed a replacement for the old scoreboard won't be ready for 2023's races.
The previous board on Glencrutchery Road was demolished after being found to be in a state of disrepair, with temporary displays put up for this year's event.
With more digital timing options now available to fans, Mr Hooper isn't sure if the current design is the right one:
