Surgeries open for other services
Routine doctor's appointments will not be available this afternoon (Wed 21), as the first GP education session of the year takes place.
Urgent appointments are still available, though, and anyone needing to see a doctor should call their practice as normal - facilities will remain open for patients to collect test results, make future appointments and order repeat prescriptions.
Mental health issues will be the main topic of focus at the quarterly event, as the Island's GPs are given presentations from specialist professionals.
Established in 2012, the sessions give GPs the opportunity to discuss developments in medical care and best practice, to enhance the quality of care available for Manx patients.
