Minister says currently 'no risk' of autonomous vehicles being brought to the Island

It's not expected the Isle of Man will bring in laws on self-driving vehicles before next year.

Infrastructure Minister Tim Crookall has published an update on autonomous vehicles following a recent question in the House of Keys.

He confirmed his department is monitoring developments in the UK, and such vehicles would only be permitted on Island as part of an approved testing programme.

The minister says there is currently no risk of such vehicles being brought to the Island for general use and they are not yet available for purchase on the open market.
