Daily closure to support social distancing as non-essential shops re-open
A busy shopping street in the north of the Island will close to traffic during the daytime to allow shoppers to maintain social distancing.
Ramsey Town Commissioners has announced Parliament Street will shut to vehicles between 10am and 4pm daily from tomorrow, coinciding with the re-opening of non-essential retailers.
The local authority said the move had been requested by the Department for Enterprise to provide safe space for pedestrians.
The closure won't be in place on Sundays.
