Berth requires essential works
There will be no weekend sailings to Birkenhead this winter.
The Steam Packet says essential maintenance is taking place at the terminal and there are no other suitable berths available on Merseyside.
Extra sailings to Heysham on Saturdays and Sundays will leave Douglas at 8am with the return journey from the Lancashire port departing at 2.30pm.
An express coach service between Heysham and Liverpool for foot passengers will be provided at weekends.
