The Isle of Man shouldn't be worried by the coastguard strike taking place across the water today.
The Island's Chief Coastguard, Colin Finney, says officers here aren't taking part and won't be asked to help their British counterparts, except in the direst of circumstances.
Staff at all 19 of the United Kingdom's Maritime Rescue Coordination Centres went on strike for 24 hours from 7am, and there's the possibility of further action.
But Mr Finney says there are safeguards in place to ensure the Island isn't adversely affected (audio file attached):
