A top health official is reassuring the public about the ability of Noble's Hospital to accommodate the number of people needing bed-space.
Director of health strategy and performance Norman McGregor-Edwards says the hospital is busier that usual at the moment.
However, he says that is always the case at this time of year, and there are still enough beds to meet demand.
Mr McGregor-Edwards says his staff are monitoring the situation and will inform the public via Manx Radio if the situation changes.
