Rising demand for services
There's been a major improvement in endoscopy services at Noble's Hospital.
The Henry Bloom Noble Healthcare Trust has contributed £68,000 to a new internet-enabled video processing and analysis system - which can be used to monitor a patient's digestive system by means of a miniature camera.
It adds to the provision of the Hospital's new dedicated Endoscopy Unit.
The investment will allow the Unit to keep up with a rising demand for services, spurred by the introduction of the bowel screening scheme for over 60s in 2011.
The Trust's chairman Terry Groves called it a 'state-of-the-art' purchase, which highlights its commitment to providing 'the very best technology available'.
