Decision follows spate of vandalism, says Council
A Douglas councillor says vandalism, including an attempted fire, at the toilets in Noble's Park has lead to the decision to introduce a 20p charge to use the facilities.
Andrew Bentley believes there needs to be controlled access in order to maintain the building.
The machines won't be in operation until after the TT and will be switched off whilst the nearby splashzone is active.
The vandalism at the site has generally occurred during school term, at lunch times and immediately after school closes.
Incidents are said to be lower during school holidays and weekends.
