An outbreak of the norovirus, also known as the winter vomiting virus, has forced the closure of Ward 8 at Noble's Hospital.
Health officials say visiting restrictions are in place on the ward.
They are asking for cooperation with hospital staff, as the restrictions are in place for the public's protection, and that of other vulnerable patients.
There is no word on how long the closure is expected to be in place.
