An outbreak of the winter vomiting virus has led to some staff and patients at a Manx hospital being isolated.
The highly contagious Norovirus has struck two wards at Ramsey Cottage Hospital and for the safety of other staff and patients, those affected have been isolated.
People suffering from the symptoms, which include vomiting and diarrhoea are asked not to attend A&E and instead consult their doctor.
The medical advice is to wait 48 hours after the end of all symptoms before returning to work or school as the disease can still be transmitted during that time.
