"It's just another blow for people battling to stay in business" says chair
The Northern Chamber of Commerce has renewed calls for the Department of Infrastructure to reconsider its planned Mountain Road closures warning of the potential impact on local businesses.
Up to eight closures are scheduled for surveying works throughout December which the chamber says will disrupt trade in the busy lead-up to Christmas.
The DoI says the closures occur outside of commuter periods meaning there'll be no increase in traffic on alternative routes between Ramsey and Douglas.
