The change has been introduced with 'immediate effect'
The Northern Civic Amenity Site joint committee has agreed to close the re-use shed with 'immediate effect'.
It says the shed is not being used for its 'intended purpose' and is causing a bottleneck at the site because people are staying longer than the recommended time or visiting multiple times a day.
The board says staff are finding it 'increasingly harder' to monitor the area and it made the decision to close it for the foreseeable future.
A further update about the Northern Civic Amenity Sites opening days is expected soon.
