Unpaid taxes the reason behind collapse
Classic British marque Norton Motorcycles has gone into administration.
Entrepreneur Stuart Garner acquired Norton in 2008 from US ownership and pledged to return it to former glories.
Norton has raced at the TT over recent years with riders such as John McGuinness, Josh Brookes, David Johnson and Cameron Donald all riding for the team.
It's reported Norton is being pursued by HMRC for £300,000 in unpaid taxes.
The accounting group BDO has been appointed as administrator to Norton Motorcycle Holdings, Norton Motorcycles (UK), Donnington Hall Estates and the Priest House Hotel.
