
A major survey has recognised the Island's National Sports Centre as one of the top recreation facilities of its kind in the British Isles.
The NSC was assessed over two days during the QUEST survey, in part by unannounced inspectors.
Staff were interviewed in areas from customer care and well-being programmes to health and safety and maintenance.
Assessors also asked users of the sports centre for their views.
The NSC has been rated in the 'excellent' category among 1000 leisure centres and swimming pools.
The survey is carried out every two years.
Department of Community, Culture and Leisure minister Graham Cregeen says the top rating is a feather in the cap for all at the NSC:
