People urged to warn children of dangers
Police are reporting that a number of unoccupied buildings on the Island have been broken into or damaged recently.
In some cases, officers say, windows have been smashed in order to gain entry - often into properties which have been unoccupied for some time.
Anyone who owns such a property is asked to ensure their building is secure and checked periodically.
The Eastern Neighbourhood Policing Team asks that any damage or signs of entry are reported, and children are advised of the dangers of accessing such places.
