Number of visa applications increases five times in six years

Treasury minister says it's having a direct impact on immigration team

The number of people applying for visas on the Island is five times higher now than six years ago.

The treasury minister has revealed the figures in the House of Keys.

In 2017/18 there were 856 applications, compared to 4,457 last financial year.
