Former police inspector to give evidence
Are enough nursery places being provided in the Island and what’s in place to help those with mental health difficulties?
Two reviews of those issues will continue this afternoon (Wednesday).
Tynwald’s social affairs policy review committee is investigating nursery availability, particularly for the under-two's, this after MHK David Ashford raised concerns local nurseries have places for just 10 per cent of Island infants.
At three o’clock this afternoon in the Legislative Council, it will hear from a parent, Fiona Moore, on the issue.
The committee will then turn its attention to mental health provision with former police inspector Derek Flint giving evidence at 4.15pm.
