A woman and two children had a lucky escape yesterday (Wednesday) evening, after a window of the taxi they were travelling in was smashed by vandals.
The silver Renault Traffic was waiting to turn into Victoria Road from Broadway, at about 6.45pm, when it was struck by something which shattered the near side rear window, showering the occupants with glass.
No one was injured, but police say the woman, her children and the driver were very shocked by the attack.
Officers say they want to speak to two boys aged 12 to 14, who were standing on a wall at the Glen Falcon Gardens, and appeared to flee the area immediately after the damage occurred.
Anybody who knows anything about the incident is asked to call Lord Street Police Station on 631212.
