Previous directors describe their 'shock' at the move
Off-Island coach holidays booked with Tours Isle of Man this year will not be going ahead.
It's after new owners purchased the company at the end of 2023.
The previous management team and directors David & Jackie Midghall have told Manx Radio they've resigned from their positions and will take early retirement. Jackie has already left the company and it is David's final day today. (9 February).
Mr Midghall says it came as a 'complete shock to us all' to hear that the off-Island holidays have been cancelled.
Customers booked onto a trip for 2024 will be contacted by the new management team and offered full refunds, he says - they're asked to be patient whilst this task is carried out.
Mr Midghall adds: "The Tours website is down and this has nothing to do with the holidays being cancelled."
"Since March 2020 the office was ran from our home, once the IT system was unplugged the website is lost. It has to be reconfigured and will only run from a fixed IP address. The new business office is now in Douglas alongside one of the new owners other businesses.
"Jackie and I wish all the best to the new owners."
Manx Radio has invited the new owners to speak on the matter.
