Daphne Caine MHK to ask Infrastructure Minister about effects of the sport
Off-road motorcycling on the Island is the driving force behind a question going before the House of Keys this week.
Daphne Caine MHK is asking the Minister for Infrastructure about his department's policy on the extreme sport and also four-wheel driving.
It's prompted by consistent concerns from residents over damage to parts of the Island's hill lands, footpaths and green lanes.
While a small number of visitors are known to come to the Isle of Man to do off-road motorcycling, Mrs Caine says this isn't permitted in parts of the UK so why is it permitted here in an unregulated way?
