Company scraps bill discount for non-direct debit early payment
A row over gas bills and the Office of Fair Trading threatened to dominate this morning’s House of Keys sitting this morning.
OFT chairman David Quirk was quizzed about Manx Gas’s decision to scrap discounts for those who pay their bills early but don’t use direct debit.
It comes just weeks after Mr Quirk said tighter regulation would mean a better deal for consumers.
