Demonstration in Douglas tomorrow
The concerns of those gathering to protest against Manx Gas' pricing system will be listened to.
That promise from the Chairman of the Office of Fair Trading, Marytn Perkins, who'll be meeting demonstrators on Prospect Hill from 1pm tomorrow (19 Sep).
Mr Perkins wants to assure the public that Manx Gas' standing charges, the focus of the protest, are not used to increase profits and will be reviewed in 2018.
Barry Murphy, from the 'Manx Gas Standing Charges and Cost' Facebook group, estimates around 100 people will turn up to voice their opposition to the billing system.
He says the protest will be peaceful:
