Officers use absorbent booms
There was a minor oil spill in Peel Harbour yesterday afternoon.
'Small amounts' of surface pollution were spotted by a member of a ship's crew at the sea end of the marina.
They reported the matter to the Coastguard.
Officers dispatched absorbent booms to mop up the spillage.
It's not known who was responsible.
Peel Coastguard is reminding residents to contact them if they see 'any sort of pollution' around coastal areas or rivers.
