A thief who took 800 litres of diesel from local businesses is due to be sentenced this morning (Tuesday).
Robert McCluskey of Andreas Road in Ramsey was spotted leaving the Spring Valley Industrial Estate in Douglas in the early hours of May the third, carrying a number of oil drums along with pumping equipment.
The 39 year-old claimed to be in financial difficulty, and said he was planning to use the fuel - worth around £440 - to heat his home.
He’s admitted three charges and will appear before the Deputy High Bailiff at Douglas Courthouse.
