Police in Ramsey are hunting thieves who stole 200 litres of heating oil from a home on the Jurby Coast Road.
Officers say the fuel was taken between Monday, December 15 and Friday, December 19 from a property near the new prison.
The thieves only made off with a small proportion of the contents of the tank, and it's thought they may have been disturbed.
Because of the amount involved, it's likely they would have needed a vehicle to remove the oil, and police are appealing for anybody with information to get in touch.
Anybody who has seen anything suspicious is asked to contact police in Ramsey on 812234.
