More than 700 litres of fuel stolen in south of Island
Police are urging users of oil to ensure their fuel tanks are secured after more than 700 litres of agricultural gas oil was stolen.
The fuel was taken from a property on Ballagawne Road, and is one of a number of thefts of diesel and oil to occur in the south of the Island in recent weeks.
The Southern Neighbourhood Policing Team says this oil is distinctive as it's dyed red.
Those with tanks for domestic or agricultural use are advised to consider whether any measures can be taken to prevent their tanks being targeted by thieves.
Those with information on this theft are urged to contact Castletown police station on 822222 or police headquarters on 631212.
