His efforts at Eary Cushlin generate important funds for Isle Listen
An Island resident has raised thousands for a local cause after completing a gruelling fundraising challenge yesterday (29 January).
Oliver Chambers took part in an 'Everesting Challenge' on Saturday, battling the weather to head up and down Eary Cushlin 22 times.
It was the equivalent elevation gain of Mount Everest.
The mammoth task meant he had to begin his challenge at 4am and he completed it at around 9.30pm in the evening.
His efforts have raised nearly £3,000 for local charity, Isle Listen, as of this morning (30 January):
