Vice Chair Scott Wilson says service was 'very important' for local community
The vice chair of Onchan Commissioners says he's 'disappointed' that the village's post office will be closing next month.
The current operators have been running it for 12 years and have previously said a new contract offered by the postal service means it's no longer a viable business.
Dr Scott Wilson believes the facility is 'very important' for local people and those who are vulnerable.
He adds the local authority is in 'early stages' of speaking to the Isle of Man Post Office about relocating the service.
