A 26-year-old man who allegedly headbutted a man he had seen with his ex-girlfriend has been fined £750 by the high bailiff.
John Myers, of Sunningdale Drive in Onchan, admitted disorderly behaviour on licensed premises, from which he has been banned for two months, in addition to the fine.
A charge of assault was withdrawn.
Police were called to Paramount City nightclub in Douglas following reports of an assault.

The prosecution said Myers was in the club and, following an altercation with a man, headbutted him, cutting the man's eyebrow.
Officers arrested Myers, who said he'd seen the man with his ex and had gone to speak to her and got involved in the altercation.
Myers' advocate said his client's head had simply made contact with the man - and he walked away from the scene.
But High bailiff Michael Moyle said it was an ugly incident and doubted it was simply a meeting of heads because of the cut.
