Callister 'respectfully' turns down CM offer
An Onchan MHK who missed out on a ministerial position says he's rejected the opportunity to chair the Isle of Man Post Office.
Rob Callister didn't make the line up of the new Council of Ministers – despite starting his second term as a Member of the House of Keys.
On his political Facebook page he confirmed the chief minister had offered him the post office role but he'd 'respectfully declined'.
It was a position formally held by his constituency colleague Julie Edge who has now been elevated to education minister.
Responding to comments about not being offered a CoMIN post Mr Callister added: "Unfortunately politics is a very strange game at times."
