Repaint ten years after Kennaugh Olympic gold
There's no longer a gold postbox in Onchan.
In 2012 it changed colour to recognise the achievement of Manx cyclist Peter Kennaugh MBE, who won gold in the Team Pursuit Race at the London Olympic Games.
Isle of Man Post is currently refurbishing postboxes across the Island as part of a maintenance programme.
They say ten years on, in consultation with the Kennaugh family and out of courtesy, Onchan District Commissioners, the postbox has been returned to the traditional pillar box red colour.
